SECTION 9: TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE

Trouble	Possible Cause(s)	Corrective Action
Engine fails to start	Dirty air cleaner.	Refer to the engine manual packed with your unit.
	Choke not in ON position.	Move switch to ON position.
	Spark plug wire disconnected.	Connect wire to spark plug.
	Cannot pull recoil cord.	Obstruction lodged in impeller. Stop immediately and
		disconnect spark plug wire. Remove lodged object.
	Fuel tank empty, or stale fuel.	Fill tank with clean, fresh gasoline. Fuel will not last
		over thirty days unless a fuel stabilizer is used.
	Fuel shut-off valve closed (if so	Open fuel shut-off valve.

	Faulty spark plug.	Clean, adjust gap or replace.
Loss of power; operation	Spark plug wire loose.	Connect and tighten spark plug wire.
