Recoil Starter

Throttle Control

Your engine is equipped with a constant speed throttle, which is set at full throttle for best performance.

Primer

The primer is used to pump gas into the carburetor. Use it to start a cold engine, but do not use it to restart a warm engine after a

short shutdown.

The recoil starter is attached to the right upper handle. Stand behind the unit and pull the recoil starter rope to start the unit.

Mulching Plug

The mulching plug is used only for mulching purposes. This process recirculates the clip- pings back to the lawn. Do not operate the mower if the mulching plug is not firmly situated on the unit.

Gas and Oil Fill-Up

1.Check oil level and add oil if necessary. Follow engine manual for this. See Figure 1 above for location of oil fill.

2.Service the engine with gasoline as instructed in the engine manual. See

Figure 1 above for location of gas cap.
