Unpacking
When unpacking, check to make sure that all the parts are included. Refer to the Assembly Drawing and Parts List at the end of this manual. If any parts are missing or broken, please call Harbor Freight Tools at the number on the cover of this manual as soon as possible.
Operation
Pre-Operation Procedures
Caution: Failure to add oil to the Engine before use will damage the Engine and void the factory warranty. Engine oil is the key factor in engine performance. Do not use Engine oil with additives. Do not use
1.Check that all engine and hydraulic mounting nuts and bolts, and hoses are tight.
2.Check engine oil level (See illustration below, left.) If needed, add oil as listed in Specifications, Engine, on page 2.
Unscrew the oil Dip Stick and wipe clean. Insert the Dip Stick back into the hole and screw it in. Remove it again and check the oil level. Full is indicated by oil on the Upper Level mark. Use a siphon to avoid spilling the oil. Carefully screw the plastic Dip Stick back into the metal Engine crankcase to avoid stripping the plastic threads on the Dip Stick.

3.Check Air Filter. Unscrew Air Filter Housing Nut and remove the Air Filter Housing and Filter Elements. If dirty or dusty, clean. (refer to the Maintenance Section, page 8).
Caution: Never run the Engine without the Air Filter assembly. Damage will occur to Engine.
4.Check and add hydraulic fluid to the Hydraulic Fluid Tank as needed (up to 1.5 gallons). You can use 10 W AW or Dextron lll automatic transmission fluid. You need to change the fluid every 100 hours of usage. See photo at the top of page 6.
5.To add hydraulic fluid, pull off the Hydraulic Fluid Fill Tube Cap. Check the level by reading the attached dip stick. See the photo at the top of page 6.
