DR-6000

The Marantz DR-6000 single-tray and DR-6050 dual-tray CD recorders are designed for superb CD recording and playback quality and outstanding user convenience. Both decks record on write-once CD-R audio discs and rewritable CD-RW audio discs, which can be erased and re- recorded upon repeatedly. The DR-6000 and DR-6050 offer complete flexibility in recording any digital or analog music source, making them the ideal components for adding CD recording capability to your home audio system.

DR-6000 Features:

Leading-edge D/A converter and precision read/write optics provide exceptionally high

data retrieval accuracy and fidelity.

Premium-quality parts and construction for superb sonic quality, including audiophile- grade components in critical signal path applications, OFC (oxygen-free copper) transformer windings and Marantz’s exclusive HDAM (High Definition Amplifier Module) output stage.

DR-6050 Features:

Dual-tray design makes CD-to-CD dubbing easy. The disc to be recorded is placed in the first tray while a recordable CD is placed in the second tray. The DR-6050’s double-speed digital dubbing feature cuts CD copying time in half.

DJ Mode allows separate, simultaneous playback of discs in both trays, via separate sets of digital optical, digital coaxial and analog outputs.

DR-6000 and DR-6050 Features:

Built-in sampling rate converter automatically converts digital audio recorded at different sampling rates, such as the 48kHz data stream from a DAT recorder, to the 16-bit/44.1kHz CD standard when transferring data to disc. During CD-to-CD dubbing, the sampling rate converter is automatically bypassed for highest possible sound quality.

Digital Recording Level function compensates for the varying volume levels of different digital sources and records them at the same level, with no degradation in sound quality.

HDCD® copy and playback capability – the DR-6000 and DR-6050 perfectly transfer

the HDCD® encoding when copying an HDCD® disc, and are playback compatible with all HDCD® encoded discs. Both decks also copy and display CD Text data from text-encoded discs.

Tape transport-type controls, precisely calibrated recording level meter, automatic or

manual track indexing, advanced editing functions and other conveniences make CD recording fast and easy using either the remote or front panel controls.

CD-Sync feature provides foolproof “one-touch” recording with Marantz tape decks and CD players.

Double speed disc finalization – the DR-6000 and DR-6050 finalize a disc in less than one minute.

Optical and coaxial digital inputs/outputs as well as analog inputs and outputs provide total recording and connection flexibility.
