Autostart recording from external CD player CD-SYNC.

The CD-SYNC feature enables you to make fast and easy re- cordings of a CD. Track increments are automatically detected from the source material. Track increments cannot be added manually. In analog source material a silence of 2.7 seconds or more is automatically detected as a track increment.

qMake sure the disc is absolutely free of scratches and dust particles.

wConnect the cable from an external CD player to the CD- Recorder. (see INSTALLATION page 5 and 6.)

ePress SOURCE (12) repeatedly until the selected source, appears on the display (depending on the digital connection used):

To check the elapsed recording time, press DISPLAY (72). (This can also be done during recording)

The recorder stops automatically.

yTo stop recording manually, press 9 STOP (5) on the CD-Recorder.

If 9STOP (5) was pressed within 3 seconds after press- ing PLAY on the selected source, no recording will take place.

To interrupt recording, press 2/; PLAY/PAUSE (6) on the CD-Recorder.

To resume, press 0 REC (4) on the CD-Recorder.

After recording the display will show

Note:

-Recordings from DAT, DCC or analog sources will only stop after 20 seconds silence.

rWith the CD-Recorder stopped, press REC TYPE (11) four times: if you wish to record a complete disc or pro- gram.

The CD-Recorder automatically starts to record. The re- cording time left appears on the display.

If or blinks, the digital connecetion is incor- rect.

If, however, you start the source during a track, CD- SYNC recording starts at the beginning of the next track or after 2.7 seconds of silence in analog recordings.

Important:

If you want to play the recorded CD-R disc on any regular CD player, it must first be finalized. See finalizing discs.

There is a chance that the sound will be distorted if the recording level is set at a value that exceeds 0 dB for dig- ital sound sources and -12dB for analog sound sources. The factory settings at the time of shipping are 0 dB for digital sound sources and -12dB for analog sound sources.

Finalized CD-RW discs play only on CD-RW compatible CD players.
