Operating Your Sauna

Safety Precautions

Review all the health and safety instructions. If in doubt as to the advisability of using your sauna, consult your physician. If you feel light-headed or heat-exhausted during a session, exit the sauna immediately.

Select the desired temperature and adjust the thermostat accordingly.

Allow approximately 10-15 minutes for the sauna to warm-up before beginning a session.

Perspiration will begin 10-15 minutes after stepping into the unit. We recommend that a sauna session does not exceed 30 minutes.

When the temperature reaches the level set on the thermostat, the heaters will turn off and on periodically to maintain the desired temperature level inside of the sauna.

The front window or ceiling vent can be opened at any time to introduce fresh air into the sauna.

Always drink plenty of water before, during and after a sauna session. Doing so will replenish lost fluids from the body through perspiration.

Choosing to take a hot shower or bath prior to the sauna session will further promote persiration. However, dry off thoroughly before going into the sauna because excessive water will stain or warp the wood. A shower after the session is refreshing and rinses perspiration from the body.

To absorb perspiration and keep the sauna clean during a session, place a towel on the bench and floor of the sauna. Keep one towel on hand to wipe excessive sweat from your body.

The interior of the sauna is made of the finest softwood. It is very aromatic and adds to the enjoyment of your sauna session. If the fragrance of the fresh wood is too strong during the first few months of use, wipe the wood with a damp cloth to minimize the aroma.

Heater Controls

The numbers in the figure below indicate that the user can change the location of the controls:

1.Remove knobs.

2.Remove screws on the side of the heater.

These saunas are designed to provide a luxurious and therapeutic experience in the comfort of your home. With advanced features and technologies, Cal Spas saunas stand out in the market, catering to a wide range of preferences and needs.

One of the main features of Cal Spas saunas is their construction using high-quality materials. Most models are built with luxurious wood options, such as Canadian Hemlock and Nordic Spruce, which provide natural aesthetics and durability. These woods are not only appealing but are also sourced sustainably, making them an eco-friendly choice for health-conscious consumers.

Cal Spas saunas come in various sizes, accommodating different settings and user requirements, from compact units suitable for smaller spaces to larger models perfect for social gatherings. Many units are also designed with ergonomic seating configurations to enhance comfort during extended use. This attention to user comfort is complemented by options for different heating elements, including traditional heater systems and modern infrared technology.

Infrared saunas, in particular, are a highlight of the Cal Spas offering. These saunas use low EMF (electromagnetic field) technology, ensuring a safe and efficient heating process. Infrared heaters penetrate deeper into the skin, promoting increased detoxification and muscle relaxation at lower temperatures compared to traditional saunas.

Another notable characteristic of Cal Spas saunas is their advanced control systems. Many models feature digital control panels with programmable settings, allowing users to easily adjust the temperature and session duration. Some saunas even come with Bluetooth connectivity to stream music or listen to guided meditation, enhancing the overall relaxation experience.

Additional features like built-in lighting systems, aromatherapy options, and chromotherapy further elevate the therapeutic benefits of Cal Spas saunas. The incorporation of these elements allows users to customize their sauna experience, tailoring it to individual mood and needs.

With a strong emphasis on quality and innovation, Cal Spas continues to set the standard for residential saunas, merging luxurious design with cutting-edge technology.
