RTAU INSTALLATION AND TESTING
Summary: This procedure provides instructions for installing the Remote Test Access Unit (RTAU) in the chassis and verifying that it is functioning properly. The RTAU requires no provisioning or periodic maintenance.
Caution: Modules can be damaged by electrostatic discharge (ESD). Before handling any modules, ESD protection must always be used. An ESD grounding post is located on the chassis for connecting the ESD wrist band. Ensure that all modules removed from the equipment or not installed, are properly stored in

1.Remove the RTAU from its protective packaging.
2.Insert the RTAU into the full height chassis slot labeled TAU (as shown in Figure
3.Using the ejectors, fully seat the RTAU in the chassis. A moderate amount of force may be required to properly seat the module in the backplane connector.
4.Did the STATUS indicator light green?
•If Yes, you have completed this procedure.
•If No, replace the RTAU and return to Step 1.
