Secure Fiber Network Interface Card

The AT-2750FX secure interface card hardens at-risk systems without impacting performance. It features an embedded security processor to offload encryption, authentication, and other cycle-intensive tasks from the host CPU— resulting in optimal system and application response. The types of encryption supported are DES, 3DES, FIPS capable (not certified) and AES (upon Vista release - pending).

Encryption

DES: The Data Encryption Standard (DES) is a 56-bit key method for encrypting information selected as an official Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) for the United States in 1976.

3DES: The Triple Data Encryption Standard (3DES) is the successor of DES, and uses a 168-bit sized key. 3DES is very secure.

AES: Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is a block cipher adopted as an encryption standard by the US government. It has been analyzed extensively and is now used widely worldwide. AES was announced by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) as US FIPS PUB 197 (FIPS 197) and became a standard in May 26, 2002.

FIPS: The Federal Information Processing Standard 140 (FIPS) are a series of US government computer security standards that specify requirements for cryptography modules.
