SOLUTION

CAUSE

THE OVERLOAD LED IS LIT AND THE UPS EMITS A SUSTAINED ALARM TONE

The UPS is overloaded.

The connected equipment exceeds the specified “maximum load” as de-

fined in Specifications at the APC web site, www.apc.com.

The alarm remains on until the overload is removed. Disconnect nonessen-

tial equipment from the UPS to eliminate the overload.

The UPS continues to supply power as long as it is online and the circuit

breaker does not trip; the UPS will not provide power from batteries in the

event of a utility voltage interruption.

If a continuous overload occurs while the UPS is on battery, the unit turns

off output in order to protect the UPS from possible damage.

tery passes the self-test.

SUA1000US, SUA750RM1U specifications

The APC SUA750RM1U and SUA1000US are highly-regarded uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) designed to provide reliable power protection for critical electronic equipment. These models are part of APC's Smart UPS series, known for their superior performance and advanced technology.

The APC SUA750RM1U is a 750VA rack-mounted model that is perfect for data centers, server rooms, and other environments where space is at a premium. It offers a sleek 1U form factor, making it easy to integrate into existing rack systems. This unit features pure sine wave output, ensuring that sensitive electronics receive clean and stable power, which is crucial for maintaining optimal performance and longevity.

The SUA750RM1U also has a multiple outlet configuration, including both NEMA 5-15R and NEMA L5-30R outlets, allowing flexibility in connecting various devices. Its internal battery provides around 42 minutes of backup power at half load, which is vital during unexpected power outages. Additionally, the built-in LCD interface offers real-time information about the UPS status, such as power, battery life, and load level.

The APC SUA1000US, on the other hand, provides a larger 1000VA capacity, making it suitable for a wider range of applications, including critical systems and networking equipment. Like the SUA750RM1U, this unit also delivers pure sine wave output for superior performance. The SUA1000US is equipped with additional features such as automatic voltage regulation (AVR) that ensures the connected devices receive stable voltage levels regardless of fluctuations in the input supply.

Both models utilize APC’s SmartConnect technology, enabling users to manage their UPS systems remotely via a secure cloud connection. This feature allows for real-time monitoring, alerts, and notifications directly to a smartphone or computer, enhancing usability and ensuring peace of mind. They also support USB and serial connectivity for seamless integration with IT management software.

In addition to their impressive specifications, both the SUA750RM1U and SUA1000US incorporate advanced management features, such as energy-saving capabilities and customizable alerts. They are also engineered with a hot-swappable battery design, allowing users to replace the batteries without powering down connected equipment.

In conclusion, the APC SUA750RM1U and SUA1000US are exemplary UPS solutions that combine advanced technologies, top-tier performance, and intuitive management features. They are essential devices for ensuring the reliability and safety of sensitive electronic equipment in both professional and personal environments.
