Chapter 4: Updating the software
SMART periodicallyreleases updatesto it s software. These updatesadd new features andresolve
issues.
Goto smarttech.com/softw areto download the latest updates.
gTo updatesoftware
1. Downloadthe DMG file from the website.
2. Inthe Finder, browse to anddouble-click /Applications/SMARTTechnologies/
Install Manager.
TheSMARTInstallManagerwindow appears.
3. Openthe DMG file you downloadedin step 1 in SMARTInstallManager(see Openingan
installationpackage onpage 4).
4. Customizet hefil e by setting the controls oneach page.
OR
Applycustomizations that y oupreviously created for an earlierversion ands avedin an XML
file(see Saving your changeson page 5) by selecting File > Import, browsing to the XML file,
andthen clicking Open.
5. Publishyour customizations as an MPKG file (see Publishing yourc hangesas an MPKG file
onpage 5), andthen deploy the MPKG file to computers on yournetwork (see Deploying the
softwareon page 11).
