IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Basic safety precautions should always be followed when using electrical appliances, including the following:
1. Read all instructions carefully before using the appliance.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs. Metal surfaces become extremely hot.
3. To protect against fire, electrical shock and injury to persons do not immerse cord, plug or power base in water or any other liquid.
4. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children.
5. Always unplug appliance from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow unit to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning and handling the appliance.
6. Do not operate appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to an authorized service facility for examination, repair or electrical/mechanical adjustment.
7. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in damage or injury.
8. Do not use outdoors.
9. Do not allow cord to hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces. 10. Do not place kettle on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
