Why does the fan come on when the power switch is off?

When the overhead projector is on and the panel is plugged in, but the power switch is off, the fan will continue to run. This keeps the panel cool. After the overhead projector is turned off, the fan in the panel will stop.

Cyclops has been calibrated and the mouse pointer follows the Cyclops pointer, so why can't I click on anything?

Bring up the panel menus, and check the Cyclops menu; Button should be set to LEFT. Also check in Windows, Control Panel, Mouse, to see if "Swap Left/Right Buttons" is checked. This option should be unchecked for Cyclops to function in Windows.

What type of mouse can be used with the panel?

When using a mouse connected to the serial port on the panel, the mouse must be a Microsoft brand serial mouse.

What vertical sync rates are supported in 800 x 600 mode?

Is the panel compatible with the Macintosh 16" monitor?

No, the monitor resolution for a Macintosh 16-inch monitor is 832x624. This is larger than 800x600, and not compatible.

When two audio sources are attached (computer and video), how do I set up the Audio Follow capability?

1.Connect monaural audio from your computer to the Left AUDIO IN port.

2.Connect monaural audio from your video source to the Right AUDIO IN port.

3.Open the Input Source menu, choose Source Select, then choose Computer.

4.Open the Audio menu, choose Source, then choose Left.

5.Repeat steps 3 and 4 for your video source, instead choosing Input Source: Video, and Audio Source: Right.

6.Close the menus, the settings will be saved.

Can the Ovation+840 be upgraded to support video?

To upgrade the Ovation+840 to have video capability, you will need to send the panel back to ASK Proxima for a hardware board change. The return authorization can be arranged with Technical Support. List price for this upgrade is $795.
