1.7.1 Overview

The motherboard comes with two 184-pin Double Data Rate (DDR) Dual Inline Memory Module (DIMM) sockets.

1.7.2 Memory confi gurati ons

You may install 64MB, 128 MB, 256 MB, 512 MB, 2 GB unbuffered ECC or non-ECC DDR DIMMs into the DIMM sockets using the memory configuration in this section.

•For dual-channel configuration, the size of memory module installed

per channel must be the same (DIMM_A1= DIMM_B1)

•Always install DIMMs with the same CAS latency. For optimum compatibility, it is recommended that you obtain memory modules from the same vendor. See the Qualified Vendors List (QVL) on the next page.

•If you are installing only one DIMM module for a Single-channel configuration, install the module on DIMM_B1.
