The USB Devices item shows the
Intel USB2.0 EHCI Controller [Enabled]
[Disabled] | Disables the Intel USB2.0 EHCI controller. |
[Enabled] | Enables the Intel USB2.0 EHCI controller. |
Legacy USB Support [Enabled]
[Disabled] | The USB devices can be used only for the BIOS setup program. |
[Enabled] | Enables the support for USB devices on legacy operating systems (OS). |
[Auto] | Allows the system to detect the presence of USB devices at startup. If |
| detected, the USB controller legacy mode is enabled. If no USB device is |
| detected, the legacy USB support is disabled. |
Legacy USB3.0 Support [Enabled]
This item appears only when you set the previous item to [Enabled] or [Auto].
[Enabled] | Enables the support for USB 3.0 devices on legacy operating systems |
| (OS). |
[Disabled] | Disables the function. |
Intel xHCI Mode [Smart Auto]
Allows you to select the Intel xHCI Mode. Configuration options: [Smart Auto] [Auto] [Enabled] [Disabled]
EHCI Hand-off [Disabled]
[Enabled] | Enables the support for operating systems without an EHCI hand‑off |
| feature. |
[Disabled] | Disables the function. |
USB Single Port Control
The items in this menu allow you to enable or disable the USB port individually.
[Enabled] | Enables specified USB port. |
Refer to the motherboard layout in Chapter 1 for the locations of the USB ports.
USB3_1/2 [Enabled]
[Enabled] | Enables USB3_1/2 port. |
[Disabled] | Disables USB3_1/2 port. |
