2.5.3USB Configuration

The items in this menu allow you to change the USB-related features.

The USB Devices item shows the auto-detected values. If no USB device is detected, the item shows None.

Legacy USB Support [Enabled]

[Enabled]

Enables the support for USB devices on legacy operating systems (OS).

[Disabled]

The USB devices can be used only for the BIOS setup program.

[Auto]

Allows the system to detect the presence of USB devices at startup. If

 

detected, the USB controller legacy mode is enabled. If no USB device is

 

detected, the legacy USB support is disabled.

Legacy USB3.0 Support [Enabled]

[Enabled]

Enables the support for USB 3.0 devices on legacy operating systems

 

(OS).

[Disabled]

Disables the function.

EHCI Hand-off [Disabled]

[Enabled]

Enables the support for operating systems without an EHCI handoff

 

feature.

[Disabled]

Disables the function.

2.5.4NB Configuration

Dual Graphics [Disabled]

When this item is enabled, the add-on graphics devices’ performance can be greatly enhanced. Configuration options: [Enabled] [Disabled]

Primary Video Device [PCIE / PCI Video]

Selects the primary display device. Configuration options: [PCIE / PCI Video]

2.5.5Onboard Devices Configuration

HD Audio Device [Enabled]

[Enabled]

Enables the High Definition Audio Controller.

[Disabled]

Disables the controller.

 

The following two items appear only when you set the HD Audio Device item to [Enabled].

Front Panel Type [HD]

Allows you to set the front panel audio connector (AAFP) mode to legacy AC’97 or high- definition audio depending on the audio standard that the front panel audio module supports.

[HD]

Sets the front panel audio connector (AAFP) mode to high definition audio.

[AC97]

Sets the front panel audio connector (AAFP) mode to legacy AC’97.
