7.Internal audio connectors (4-pin CD, AUX, MODEM) (optional)

These connectors allow you to receive stereo audio input from sound sources such as a CD-ROM, TV tuner, or MPEG card. The MODEM connector allows the onboard audio to interface with a voice modem card with a similar connector. It also allows the sharing of mono_in (such as a phone) and a mono_out (such as a speaker) between the audio and a voice modem card.

P4S333-VM Intel Panel Connector

Make sure to place jumper caps over pins 1-2 and 5-6 if you do not connect the Intel front panel audio cable. By default, these pins are shorted.

Before using this connector, make sure that your audio cable and the front panel audio module (if available) comply with the Intel Front Panel I/O specification.
