Unlocked Retaining Clip

1.9System memory

The motherboard has two Double Data Rate (DDR) DIMM sockets and two Single Data Rate (SDR) DIMM sockets that supports up to 2GB non-ECC PC2700/2100/ 1600 DDR or PC133/100 SDRAM DIMMs.

A DDR DIMM has the same physical dimensions as an SDR DIMM, but it has a 184-pin footprint compared to the 168-pin of the SDR DIMM. Also, a DDR DIMM is single notched while an SDR DIMM is double notched.

1.Make sure to unplug the power supply before adding or removing DIMMs or other system components. Failure to do so may cause severe damage to the motherboard and other system components.

2.DDR and SDRAM memory slots cannot be used simultaneously.

Follow these steps to install a DIMM.

DDR DIMM notch

1.Unlock a DIMM socket by pressing the retaining clips outward.

2.Align a DIMM on the socket such that the notch on the DIMM matches the break on the socket.

3.Firmly insert the DIMM into the socket until the retaining clips snap back in

place and the DIMM is properly seated.
