8.Joystick/Midi Connector (15-pin Female) (with optional onboard audio) You may connect game joysticks or game pads to this connector for playing games. Connect Midi devices for playing or editing audio.

9.Universal Serial BUS Ports 1 & 2 (Two 4-pin Female Sockets) Two USB ports are available for connecting USB devices.

10.Primary / Secondary IDE connectors (Two 40-1 pin block)

These connectors support the provided IDE hard disk ribbon cable. After con- necting the single end to the board, connect the two plugs at the other end to your hard disk(s). If you install two hard disks on the same channel, you must set the second drive to Slave mode. Refer to the documentation of your hard disk for the jumper settings. BIOS now supports SCSI device or IDE CD-ROM bootup (see HDD Sequence SCSI/IDE First & Boot Sequence in BIOS Fea- tures Setup of the BIOS SOFTWARE) (Pin 20 is removed to prevent insert- ing in the wrong orientation when using ribbon cables with pin 20 plugged).
