Use Atlas Sound’s 8" (203mm) diameter, multi-purpose, coaxial loud- speaker package Model GD87 for voice transmission, music, and signal reproduction in high-quality commercial, industrial, and institutional appli- cations.

The speaker used in the GD87 package is the next generation of Atlas high performance coaxial 8" cone loudspeakers, very similar to the C803A Series speakers. The similarity in the sonic qualities ensures that contractors and designers who have worked with the C803A Series in the past will know exactly what to expect when they purchase the GD87.

All models feature standard mounting holes to accommodate the majority of Atlas Sound 8" back cans, trim rings and tile bridges.

Model GD87. The GD87 includes a 16 watt coaxial loudspeaker with a post-mounted tweeter, which adds strength to the assembly and provides an attractive appearance. This coaxial loudspeaker features a 70 Hz-15.5 kHz, ±5dB frequency response and a broad, uniform disper- sion pattern Such provisions allow for highly intelligible sound reproduc- tion and better distribution for high-quality sound systems. The woofer has a 10 oz. (260g) ceramic magnet; the tweeter has a 2.35 oz. (67g) ceramic magnet, and the unit has a peak sensitivity of 98dB (at 1 watt,

1 meter). The loudspeaker is matched with a high efficiency 8 watt 70.7V transformer with a maximum insertion loss of 0.6dB. This premium trans- former is constructed of audio grade laminations and has a full range frequency response of + 1dB from 50 Hz to 15 kHz. The primary taps are 1, 2, 4, and 8 watts.

Model GD87W includes the GD87 fully assembled to an attractive CRS white powder coated baffle*. This baffle includes welded speaker mount- ing studs making for a more discrete installed appearance.
