Atlona HDMI 4 by 1 Switcher

Step by Step Guide

1.Place your switcher within 60 feetManual background (18.29 meters) of your video display.

Note: If using theManual background supplied IR remote control, remember you need toManual background be within 23 feetManual background (7 meters) and within a 60° angle of theManual background infrared receiver.

2.ConnectManual backgroundManual backgroundtheManual background HDMIManual backgroundManual background cables toManual background your sources and theManual background switcher’s inputs labeled HDMIManual backgroundManual background IN. Note: The EthernetManual backgroundManual background Channel will notManual background pass toManual background your devices if theManual background HEC feature is notManual background supported or you are notManual background using theManual background correctManual background HDMIManual backgroundManual background cables.

3.(Optional) Plug theManual background supplied Infrared module into theManual background IR IN portManual background and place theManual background receiver end somewhere thatManual backgroundManual background is within 23 feetManual background (7 meters) of where you will be using remote. Note: The supplied infrared module will allow you toManual background controlManual backgroundManual backgroundtheManual background Atlona AT-HD4-V41 when placed in a cabinet.

4.Plug theManual background power cord into theManual background DC 5V labeled portManual background and thenManual background plug theManual background other end into theManual background wall.

5.(Optional) Plug theManual background EthernetManual backgroundManual background cable into theManual background EthernetManual backgroundManual background port. If your devices and cables are HDMIManual backgroundManual background EthernetManual backgroundManual background Channel compatible you will be able toManual background pass theManual background internetManual background signal throughManual backgroundManual backgroundtheManual background HDMIManual backgroundManual background cable.

Note: Please verify thatManual backgroundManual background your devices are HDMIManual backgroundManual background EthernetManual backgroundManual background Channel compatible, mostManual background ports will be labeled HEC for easy identification.

6.(Optional) Plug theManual background Digital (S/PDIF) cable into theManual background S/PDIFManual background port. If you have an audio system thisManual background will allow for 2 channel and multi-channel support.

Note: IfManual backgroundManual backgroundtheManual background Digital Audio is plugged in itManual background willManual backgroundManual backgroundtakeManual background firstManual background priority over theManual background HDMIManual backgroundManual background audio connection. Neither Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD Master Audio will work with thisManual background option.

a.(Optional) ARC Mode The Audio Return Channel can be accessed throughManual background

theManual background switcher, by reselecting theManual background source you currently have selected (all source lights will go off). The switcher willManual backgroundManual backgroundthenManual background pass throughManual backgroundManual backgroundtheManual background audio from your video display toManual background your A/V Receiver as an ARC signal (this will only work with ARC capable displays). Your video display will pass throughManual background audio from either

its internalManual backgroundManual backgroundtunerManual background or from any device plugged into it.

7.ConnectManual background one end of theManual background HDMIManual backgroundManual background cable into theManual background video display and theManual background other end into theManual background portManual background labeled HDMIManual backgroundManual background OUT on theManual background switcher.

8. Press the power button (on either the remote or the switcher)

to turn on the

AT-HD4-V41.

 

9.(Optional) If using theManual background RS-232 connection plug theManual background cable into theManual background switcher, thenManual background your computer or thirdManual background party control.

a.PC control will need a hyperterminal program. If you do notManual background have one thenManual background you will need toManual background download or purchase one and follow theirManual background instructions for theManual background program’s installation.
