NOTE: 1. To switch between GMRS/FRS
and FM Band modes,
press and hold the Mode but- ton for 3 seconds. Refer to the appropriate section of this manual for detailed operating instructions for each mode.
2.To enter the VOX mode, press and hold the SCAN button for 3 seconds.
(GMRS Channels Only)
Controls:
LED Flashlight Button (16)
When the unit is on, press this button on the right side of the Transceiver to light the white flashlight LED (15) on top of the unit.
Power On-Off/SCAN (13) Button
Press and hold the power on/off button ( 
) for at least 2 seconds. You will hear a confirming melody to indicate the unit is on. To turn the unit off, press and hold the button for at least 2 seconds.
When the unit is on, press this button momentarily to enable or disable the scan mode.
Adjusting the Volume (10, 11)
With the unit powered on, press the Up Channel/Volume button ( 
) to increase volume and the Down Channel/Volume button ( 
) to decrease volume. The display will indicate the current volume level between 0 to 7
bars on the right lower side of the LCD.
