Each time the BAND/LOU button is pressed momentarily, the radio band is changed. The indication AM, FM1, FM2 or FM3 will appear on the display panel according to your selection.

To manually select a radio station, momentarily press the Up Tuning
( ) button to advance the unit higher, or the Down Tuning
( ) button to tune lower within the selected band.The radio will tune to the next available station. Pressing either button for longer than 0.5 second will cause MANUAL to appear on the display; in this mode each press of the TUNE/SEEK button will increase or decrease frequency in 200 kHz steps. Pressing and holding either button in the MANUAL mode will cause the radio to rapidly tune in the upward or downward direction, and stop when the respective button is released. Five seconds after tuning is complete, AUTO will momentarily appear.

This feature is used to select the strength of the signals at which the radio will stop during Automatic Seek Tuning. Pressing and this button will select the Local setting (LOCAL will appear on the display panel) and only strong (local) stations will be received. Pressing the button again will select the normal Distant setting (LOCAL will disappear from the display panel, and Dx will be displayed instead) and the radio will stop at a wider range of signals, including weaker (more distant) stations.
