Phase Coated BAK-4 Prism

A special optical coating that is

applied onto the BAK-4 prisms for “phase-correction”. The light rays when passing through

the roof prisms of a binocular split into two separate paths, which then causes the paths

to be slightly “out of phase” with each other. Progressive

phase coatings, when applied, corrects the phase shift in the light path, thus reduce internal glare and deliver enhanced contrast and high resolution of details. The results are extreme bright and crisp images, and a true color fidelity.
