Subject: AD-2 AIR DRYER NEW SPRING GUIDE P/N 292829

In some instances the integral check valve in AD-2 air dryers has failed by collapsing the spring guide in the check valve, and not permitting the ball to seat properly.

The new spring guide piece number 243646 was aluminum .020” thick. A new guide has been released, piece number 292829, .021” thick of steel cad. plated or zinc coated.

This change will be effective approximately 9/1/77.
