CHAPITRE 8: Network Address Translation (NAT)

Ce chapitre montre comme configurer la section NAT de l’I-Fly Wireless Lan Router ADSL.

8.1 Introduction au NAT

Nat signifie Network Address Translation (translation des adresses de réseau local). Il a été décrit dans l’RFC-1631 et il avait, au moins au début, la tâche de permettre un usage intensif des adresses IP. Le NAT est composé d’un tableau, construit de couple d’adresses IP, une du réseau privé ou ILA (inside local address) et une publique ou IGA (inside global address). Il s’agit donc d’effectuer une translation des IP privées aux IP publiques et inversement. Le Router I-Fly ADSL supporte le NAT, plusieurs utilisateurs peuvent accéder à Internet en utilisant un seul compte (et une seule IP publique) à moindre coût. Si les utilisateurs du réseau ont des adresses IP publiques et peuvent donc accéder directement à Internet, cette fonction doit être désactivée. Il sert en plus de premier pare-feu en améliorant la sécurité du réseau local. Cette fonction cohabite avec les fonctions de Serveur Virtuel, DMZ et DHCP. Le Nat manipule les paquets IP sortants et en change la partie expéditeur (l’adresse IP de l’ordinateur réseau, qui est une IP privée non valide sur Internet ) avec l’IP publique de l’I-Flt ADSL Router. De cette façon tous les paquets sortants par le Router auront dans le champ expéditeur l’adresse IP publique du Router. Lorsque les paquets reviennent au Router, celui-ci effectuera le procédé inverse et les enverra à l’ordinateur initial.
