HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR JUG KETTLE
Wipe the durable polypropylene exterior and lid of the Kettle with a soft, damp cloth or sponge. Remove stubborn spots with a cloth moistened with mild liquid detergent. Do not use abrasive scouring pads or powders. NEVER IMMERSE KETTLE BODY IN WATER OR OTHER LIQUIDS. From time to time, dependent on the nature of your water, mineral deposits can build up on the inside of your kettle reducing boiling speed and efficiency. You can remove this
•Half fill the Kettle with ordinary tap water.
•Add 30 mL (1 fluid oz.) of white vinegar to the water in the Kettle.
•Boil the mixture and allow it to stand for 30 minutes. Reboil the mixture and allow it to stand for a further 30 seconds. Repeat procedure again for a third time. (Note: In extreme cases this procedure may have to be repeated).
•Empty, rinse well and use in the normal way.
NOTE : Some type mineral deposits cannot be removed with a vinegar solution. Check your element surface for scale removal and use commercial descaler if necessary.
WARRANTY
To the original purchaser (or gift recipient) of this product for home use, Black & Decker Canada Inc., warrants that any part of the product which proves to be defective in material or workmanship within two years of the date of purchase or receipt wil be repaired or replaced, free of charge.
Should your product not perform properly, return it to your nearest Black & Decker service depot, transportation charges prepaid. A list of authorized service depots is packaed with the appliance.
If the nearest service depot is located outside of your city or metro area, or if you live in a rural area, Black & Decker Canada Inc. will pay the return transportation charges. This warranty will be honoured by any of our authorized service depots in Canada, wherever you may live, regardless of where the appliance was purchased.
The provisions of this warranty are in addition to, and not a modification of or subtraction from the statutory warranties and other rights and remedies contained in any applicable legislation and to the extent that any such provisions purport to disclaim, exclude or limit any such statutory warranties or other rights or remedies, such provisions shall be deemed to be amended to the extent necessary to comply therewith.
