Using the toothbrush

The toothbrush can be used with any kind of toothpaste.

To avoid splashing, guide the brush head to your teeth before switching the appliance on.

Slowly guide the brush head from tooth to tooth, spending a few seconds on each tooth surface.

Brush the gums as well as the teeth, first the outsides, then the insides and finally the chewing surfaces (1).

Do not press too hard or scrub, simply let the brush do all the work.

To thoroughly remove plaque, brush for at least two minutes.

Professional Timer

A short stuttering sound at 30-second intervals, which you can hear and feel, reminds you to brush the four quadrants of your mouth equally for a thorough consistent clean. A long stuttering sound indicates when the dentist recommended 2-minute brushing time has been reached.

The timer memorises the elapsed brushing time, even when the handle is briefly switched off during brushing. Only when pausing longer than 30 sec. the timer resets to the initial starting point.

Pressure Sensor

For optimal brushing results your toothbrush has a pressure control feature to help you brush gently. This helps protect your gums from excessive brushing and makes your toothbrush easy to operate. If too much pressure is applied, the oscillating movement of the brush head will continue but the pulsation will stop. In addition to feeling it, you can also hear a different sound.

In the first days of using the toothbrush, your gums may bleed slightly. In general, bleeding should stop after a few days. Should it persist after two weeks, please consult your dentist or hygienist.

Dentists recommend that you replace any toothbrush every 3 months. The INDICATOR bristles help you monitor and improve your brushing performance. With proper brushing, twice a day for two minutes, the blue colour on the INDICATOR bristles will fade halfway approximately within 3 months, signaling it is time to change the brush head (2a-2c).

Replacement brush heads are available at your retailer or Oral-B Braun Service Centres.

Cleaning

After use, rinse the brush head for several seconds under running water with the handle switched on. Then switch off the handle and remove the brush head. Rinse both parts separately under running water (3) and wipe them dry. From time to time, also clean the charging unit with a damp cloth

(4).
