Companion® Infant Restraint System Model # E9L14

Assembly Visual Inspection Instructions

WARNING: Remove infant from carrier

before beginning visual inspection.

Remove infant carrier from base. The base can remain in the vehicle during visual inspection of carrier.

Verify that tabs are intact and fully cover the opening.

Turn carrier upside down so the underside of the carrier faces upward.

If one or both tabs do not fully cover the opening, contact Britax Child Safety, Inc. at 888-427-4829 for further instruction. If both tabs are not fully covered, you may continue to use the carrier in vehicle without the base.

On bottom of carrier where rubber strips run along edges of support rails, there is an exposed opening with attachment hooks.

If both tabs fully cover the openings, the carrier is safe for continued use. Britax Child Safety, Inc. apologizes for any inconvenience.

Approximately 1.5” from each attachment hook (toward the red carrier-release handle) are tabs.
