Checking the print qu ality
If faded or streaked colour s and text appears on your output, s ome
of the nozzles may be clogged. You can check this by printing the
Print Quality Check Sheet and looking at t he nozzle check patter n.

Press Ink Management.

Press or to select
Test Print.
Press Set.

Press or to select
Print Quality.
Press Set.

Press Colour Start.
The DCP begins printing the Print Quality Check Sheet.

Follow the instructions giv en on the sheet to see if the quality is
OK.
Colour block quality check
The LCD shows:

Check the quality of the four colour
blocks on the sheet.

If all lines are clear and visible, press
(Yes) and go to
Step 10.
—OR—
If you can see missing short lin es as shown below,
press (No).
The LCD will ask you if the print
quality is OK for black and three
colours.
