3 Load Paper

The paper cassette can hold about 100 sheets of 20-lb. paper. A. Open the paper cover.

B. Place up to 100 sheets of paper in the paper holder. Do not allow the level of paper to pass maximum paper line on the paper guides.

4 Install Phone Line and Power Cord

5 If you are sharing one Phone line with an external telephone answering device, connect it now

B. Enter your fax number (up to 20 digits),

8 SelectMode a Receive

Press Receive Mode until the correct mode for your setup is displayed.

FAX ONLY The machine automatically answers every call as a fax.

An External TAD (telephone answering device) answers every call and stores voice messages in memory, fax messages are printed. An external telephone operates as if it is in MANUAL Mode when it is connected to your Brother Machine.
