Removing small documents jammed in the ADF

b Insert a piece of stiff paper, such as cardstock, into the ADF to push any small paper scraps through.

b Pull the paper tray (1) completely out of the machine.

c Pull the two green levers inside the machine towards you to remove the jammed paper.

c Close the document cover. d Press Stop/Exit.
Printer jam or paper jam
Locate and remove the jammed paper by following these steps:
a Unplug the machine from the AC power outlet.
IMPORTANT
Before you unplug the machine from the power source, you can transfer your faxes that are stored in the memory to your PC or another fax machine so you will not lose any important messages. (See Transferring your faxes or Fax Journal report on page 67.)
