56Using additional handsets
You must charge your additional handset for 24 hours before registering it.
You must register your BT Lyric 2000 additional handset before it can be used with your BT Lyric 2500 base.
You can use up to five BT Lyric 2000 additional handsets with your BT Lyric 2500 to extend your phone system without needing to install extension sockets for each new phone.
Your BT Lyric 2500 handset can also be registered to up to 3 other bases. You can then select the base you would prefer to use.
Each additional handset is supplied with its own charger and user guide, but the following information will tell you how to register and use an additional handset with your BT Lyric 2500.
Registering your handset
At the base:
1. Press and hold Page for 10 seconds, until you hear a beep, then release it.
At the handset:
