Using the memory

You can store up to 10 numbers in the memory, each up to 22 digits long, which can then be speed dialled. Stored numbers can include settings made with the and # buttons. You can also enter a Pause by holding down the R (Recall) button.

To store a number in the memory

Press the SET button.

Press the MEMORY button.

0-9Enter a number between 0-9under which you want to store the number.

KEYPAD Enter the telephone number to be stored.

Press the SET button to confirm.

You will hear a confirmation beep.

To speed dial a stored number

Press the MEMORY button.

0-9Enter the memory location number 0-9under which the number is stored.

Press the HANDSET button. The number is dialled automatically.

Additional features

To adjust the ringer volume

There are 3 volumes to choose from, with 1 being the lowest.

Press the SET button, then the 5 button.

To adjust the ringer melody

There are 2 ringer melodies to choose from.

Press the SET button, then the 6 button.

You will hear the current ringer melody.

KEYPAD Select melody 1 or 2 using the keypad.

Press the SET button to confirm.

To adjust the earpiece volume

The volume of received calls can be set to 3 different levels. 1 is the lowest.

Press the SET button, then the 0 button.

KEYPAD Select a level 1-3using the keypad.

Press the SET button to confirm.

To switch the keypad lock on and off

You can lock the keypad so that it cannot be used accidentally while carrying it around.

You are still able to receive calls.

#Press and hold down the # button until the display shows:

The keypad is now locked and you cannot dial out. Incoming calls can be answered as normal by pressing the HANDSET button.

#To unlock the keypad press and hold the # button until the display returns to standby.

If you have to return your product

Pack the base station and handset securely, preferably in the original packing. All parts must be returned, including line cords, power supply unit and original batteries. We cannot take responsibility for goods damaged in transit.

Technical information

How many handsets can you have?

All items of telephone equipment have a Ringer Equivalence Number (REN) which is used to calculate the number of items that may be connected to any one telephone line. The Verve 100 has a total REN of 1. Any other instrument provided by BT may be assumed to have a REN of 1 unless stated otherwise. A total REN of 4 is allowed per telephone line. (For example: if the Verve 100 is used in conjunction with three extension telephones, each with a REN of 1, then the total REN = 4.)

R&TTE

This product complies with the R&TTE Directive 99/05/EC.

Switchboard compatibility

Your Verve 100 can be connected to compatible switchboards. If in doubt, please contact your switchboard supplier.

Your Verve 100 is pre-set to TONE dialling. You will hear a tone beep each time you dial a number. Tone dialling is suitable for all modern digital exchanges. If you cannot make a call with TONE dialling you may need to switch to PULSE dialling.

To set the dialling mode

Press the HANDSET button.

Press the SET button.
