4.3 GARP OPERATION STATUS SCREEN

The GARP Operation Status screen, Figure 4-2, is used to enable ports on

the switch as GMRP- and GVRP-aware ports. The ports may be enabled

one by one or all at the same time for GMRP and GVRP.

To access the GARP Operation Status screen, use the arrow keys to

highlight the GARP OPERATION STATUS menu item on the 802.1

Conﬁguration Menu screen and press ENTER. The GARP Operation

Status screen displays.

The following describes the screen ﬁelds.

Port # (Read-Only)

Displays the number of the front panel interface.

GMRP (Toggle)

Sets the port to operate as a GMRP-aware port. The setting is only valid if

the GMRP Protocol ﬁeld near the bottom of the screen is set to Enable.

The GMRP ﬁeld setting toggles between Y (yes) and N (no).

The default is “Y”.

To set the port, refer to Section 4.3.1.
