The Canon S900 and S9000 break new ground in high-end
photo printing for commercial users and serious enthusiasts.
Both use the same core print technology that has led to our
800 series models becoming an award winning benchmark in
reproduction quality. Then, recognising that time is money,
Canon has developed a new, faster printer.
The S9000 even lets you print in sizes up to A3+ to proof a full
A3 layout with crop marks, or A3 full-bleed.
MORE THAN 73 MILLION ULTRA SMALL
DROPS, EVERY SECOND.
Both models use an ultra high-density head with a 1200 dpi
pitch. But, compared to earlier models, the print head has twice
as many print nozzles. There are 3072 nozzles, or 512 per
colour, with each nozzle firing ink 9% faster than earlier models.
As a result they are capable of a staggering 73 million ink
droplets per second, which explains how you can now print a
full A4 sized photo in as little as one minute.
The print head is further enhanced by high precision nozzles.
This process, called Advanced MicroFine Droplet Technology,
generates perfectly rounded dots with finer placement of
microscopically small ink drops 4 pl in size.
By doubling the print head size both
models produce more than 73 million
MicroFine drops per second.
