Setting the Scanning Contrast
Contrast is the difference in brightness between the lightest and darkest parts of a
printed document. You can adjust the contrast the MultiPASS uses to send or copy
black & white documents. Adjust according to how light or dark your document is.
nYou can also set the scanning contrast for sending from the MultiPASS Suite.

Follow this procedure to set the scanning contrast:
1Press Function.
2Press Data Registration.
3Press Set twice.
4Use dor uto select SCAN CONTRAST.
5Press Set.Ex:
6Use dor uto select the scanning contrast Ex:
you want.
• You can select from the following:
–STANDARD
Adequate for most documents.
–DARKER
Suitable for light documents.
–LIGHTER
Suitable for dark documents.
7Press Set.
8Press Stop to return to standby mode. Ex: 15:00 FaxOnly
