To adjust the analog time

1.In the Timekeeping Mode, press Cfive times to enter the Hand Setting Mode.

1.In the Alarm Mode, use Dto scroll through the alarm screens until the one whose time you want to set is displayed.

2.Hold down Auntil the hour digits of the alarm time

• This automatically turns on the alarm.

•When setting the alarm time using the 12-hour format, take care to set the time correctly as a.m. (no indicator) or p.m. (P indicator).

Alarm Operation

The alarm sounds in all modes at the preset time for about 10 seconds, or until you stop it by pressing any button.

To test the alarm

In the Alarm Mode, hold down Bto sound the alarm.

To turn an alarm and the Hourly Time Signal on and off

1.In the Alarm Mode, use D to select an alarm or the Hourly Time Signal.

2.When the alarm or the Hourly Time Signal you want to set is selected, press Bto turn it on and off.

Indicates alarm is ON.

Indicates Hourly Time Signal is ON.

• The alarm on indicator ( ) and the Hourly Time Signal on indicator ( ) are shown

on the display in all modes while these functions are turned on.

City code

The World Time Mode digitally displays the current time in 30 cities (29 time zones) around the world.

•Pressing Ain the World Time Mode causes the applicable city code to appear on the digital display for about one second.

•If the current time shown for a city is wrong, check your Home City time settings and make the necessary changes.

•All of the operations in this section are performed in the World Time Mode, which you enter by pressing C.

• If any alarm is on, the alarm on indicator is shown on the display in all modes.

Countdown Timer

Number	You can set the countdown timer within a range of one to

While in the World Time Mode, press Dto scroll through the city codes (time zones) to the east or B to scroll to the west.

To toggle a city code time between Standard Time and Daylight Saving Time

1. In the World Time Mode, use Band D to display the city code (time zone) whose Standard Time/Daylight Saving Time setting you want to change.

• Pressing Ain the World Time Mode causes the applicable city code to appear on the digital display for about one second.

2. Hold down Ato toggle Daylight Saving Time (DST indicator displayed) and Standard Time (DST indicator not displayed).

•Note that you cannot use the World Time Mode to change the DST setting of the Home City code you currently have selected in the Timekeeping Mode. See “Daylight Saving Time (DST)” for information about turning the Home City code DST setting on and off.

•Note that you cannot switch between Standard Time and Daylight Saving Time while GMT is selected as the city code.

•The DST indicator will appear on the display whenever you display a city code for which Daylight Saving Time is turned on.

•Note that the DST/Standard Time setting affects only the currently displayed city code. Other city codes are not affected.

Alarms

Mode indicator		You can set five independent daily alarms. When an alarm
		is turned on, the alarm tone sounds when the alarm time
		is reached.
		You can also turn on an Hourly Time Signal that causes

To use the countdown timer

Press Dwhile in the Countdown Timer Mode to start the countdown timer.

•When the end of the countdown is reached and auto-repeat is turned off, the alarm sounds for 10 seconds or until you stop it by pressing any button. The countdown time is automatically reset to its starting value after the alarm stops.

•Press Dwhile a countdown operation is in progress to pause it. Press Dagain to resume the countdown.

•To completely stop a countdown operation, first pause it (by pressing D), and then press B. This returns the countdown time to its starting value.

To turn auto-repeat on and off

•Auto-repeat timing repeats up to nine times.
