Routine Service and Maintenance
General MaintenanceDraining Fuel Tank (Gasoline)
1. GASOLINE IS EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE AND HIGHLY EXPLOSIVE.
2. A FIRE OR EXPLOSION FROM GASOLINE CAN BURN YOU OR OTHERS AND CAUSE
PROPERTY DAMAGE.
3. DRAIN FUEL FROM TANKS WHEN THE ENGINE IS COLD.
4. FUEL TANKS SHOULD ONLY BE DRAINED IN AN AREA THAT IS WELL VENTILATED.
5. WIPE UP ANY GASOLINE THAT SPILLS.
1.Park the machine on a level surface, to make sure that the fuel tanks will be completely
drained.
2.Lower the boom and stop the engine. Remove the key.
3.Allow the engine to cool completely.
4.Shut off fuel at the fuel shut off valve (Item 1, Figure 4–26) by rotating the valve handles
horizontally across the fuel lines.
