230SR specifications

The Chauvet 230SR is a sophisticated lighting fixture designed for professional applications, standing out with its impressive blend of versatility, power, and efficiency. This moving head light is particularly popular in live events, theaters, and clubs, where dynamic lighting is essential for creating engaging atmospheres.

One of the main features of the Chauvet 230SR is its powerful 230-watt discharge lamp, which produces bright and vibrant colors, ensuring visibility in various settings. This high-output light source allows for a wide coverage area, making it suitable for large venues and auditoriums. Additionally, the fixture boasts an impressive color temperature of around 8000K, providing crisp daylight-like illumination.

The 230SR shines with its extensive color mixing capabilities. Equipped with several color wheels, including dichroic filters, it can produce a wide spectrum of colors, including rich reds, deep blues, and vibrant greens. This versatility is crucial for lighting designers looking to create mood and atmosphere in their productions.

Another notable characteristic of the Chauvet 230SR is its precision control. The fixture features 16-bit resolution pan and tilt movement, allowing for smooth, fluid motion and incredibly precise positioning. With a pan range of 540 degrees and a tilt range of 270 degrees, it can cover a wide area while maintaining accuracy in its movements. This feature is particularly beneficial for coordinated light shows where synchronization is key.

In terms of technology, the 230SR utilizes DMX control, providing users with the ability to manage multiple fixtures seamlessly. This allows for intricate programming of light cues and effects, making it a valuable tool for any lighting technician. The fixture also includes built-in automatic and sound-activated programs, which can be used for quick setups when time is limited.

A further aspect that enhances the Chauvet 230SR's functionality is its built-in effects. It features a gobo wheel with a selection of rotating and static gobos that can project unique patterns and textures onto surfaces, adding depth and interest to lighting designs. The clever use of a frost filter allows it to create soft washes, complementing sharper effects for a dynamic visual experience.

With its rugged construction, the Chauvet 230SR is designed to endure the rigors of live performance environments. Its compact and lightweight design makes it easy to transport and install, while the quiet operation ensures minimal distraction during performances.
