Roadster Series

The incredibly high-brightness and rugged design make the Roadster Series perfect for applications where durability, ease of handling and operation are the key requirements.

AV Concepts used eight Roadsters, double- stacked on 4 screens to bring the music and images of the Final Fantasy video game to life. The Roadsters Series’ improved contrast ratio and high resolution capabilities were sited as key factors.

Display Technology

Featuring high-quality DLP® technology, the Christie Roadster Series has proven to be the world’s favorite 3-chip, DLP® projector. Low maintenance, highly reliable DLP® technology delivers high brightness and unsurpassed color, brightness uniformity and control capabilities.

Image Quality

The 3-chip SXGA+ engines are driven by Xenon illumination and deliver superior image quality, repeatability of colors and the ability to edge- blend and tile images – whether multiple projectors on a single screen, or multiple screen displays.

Image Processing

With proven 10-bit image processing, the Christie Roadster Series offers high bandwidth signal processing. The high bandwidth supports additional functionality such as Picture in Picture, HD 4:4:4 and seamless switching between sources. For added ease of blending, Digital Black Level Adjustment lets the user match the blended (gutter) black levels with the non- blended black levels.

Ease of Use

A user-friendly Graphic User Interface makes operation and set-up of the entire Christie Roadster Series uncomplicated. The GUI enables full and easy control of the projector. Multiple control options let the user choose what’s best for their application – built-in, IR and wired remote keypad; wired or wireless two way controller; RS-422 or RS-232 control; or through ChristieNETTM via the Ethernet port. Optional ChristieNETTM WAVE and ChristieNETTM WAVE- DVD provide wireless presentation power for data, video and streaming video. Motorized lens functions provide power focus, zoom, horizontal and vertical offset – all at the touch of a button, while the Intelligent Lens System (ILS™) provides auto recall for zoom and focus. Auto set-up automatically recognizes sources and sets up correct brightness, contrast, position and pixel clock.

Serviceability

Operation and maintenance of the Christie Roadster Series is easy as well. Quick internal access with 1/4-turn screws, a quick-change ballast, a removable image processing module, field-alignable DMDs – put full control in the hands of the user. Replacement lamp costs are low and Christie offers the best warranties on the market – 2 years parts and labor – including light engine.
