INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use. Use on Alternating Current (50/60 hertz) only.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
DUAL VOLTAGE
This appliance has dual voltage. It will automatically adjust to the proper voltage. Use an adapter plug with correct configuration prior to use in outlet.
GETTING STARTED
The appliance's 30 temperature settings and instant heat technology combine to provide styling versatility for all hair textures. If you have fine hair, a low temperature will provide the best results. If you have thick, wavy or coarse hair, keep the heat setting high. You can vary the appliance’s temperature according to your particular need!
CURLING BASICS
1.Plug the curling iron cord into any household outlet (120/240V). Press ON button (indicator light will blink). The iron will heat up very quickly; when red light stops blinking the unit is ready. To turn off, press OFF button. Never leave your curling iron on and unattended. However, should you fail to turn the iron off, it will shut itself off automatically within 60 minutes.
2.Section dry hair evenly, and comb each section before winding. Pressing the automatic curl release, place curling iron midway up the hair section, then spread hair evenly between spoon and barrel. Release automatic curl release to hold hair in place. Gently slide curling iron down to hair ends. To avoid crimped ends, make sure they are securely wound under the spoon in the direction of the desired curl.
Remember, always place the spoon above the hair strand when making a curl you want rolled under; place the spoon under the hair strand when making a flip style.
3.Wind the hair up as far as you want it curled, being careful not to let the iron touch the scalp. Hold in place for 8 to 12 seconds depending on the texture and length of your hair. For tighter, bouncier curls, roll less hair. For looser, free flowing curls, roll more hair.
4.To remove curling iron, unwind the hair and press the automatic curl release. To set the curl, do not comb or brush hair until it cools.
5.To achieve faster styling results units feature a unique, optional Turbo Heat™ Burst. Press the Turbo button to deliver up to 20˚C/36˚F more heat for maximum styling performance.
STRAIGHTENING BASICS
Start with a hair section that is 2" wide and no more than 1/2" thick. While maintaining the tension, slowly pull the unit down along the hair section toward the end of hair. At the end of hair section, release the pressure on the handle and allow the hair section to slide out. Repeat process on additional sections of hair until you achieve the hair style you desire. It may be necessary to repeat process on certain areas, depending on the texture of your hair.
Some experience is necessary when learning to use this straightening comb. After using comb several times, you will learn the ideal way to straighten and style your hair easily.
NOTE: Please refer to the temperature setting guide for heat settings.
