IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
1.Read all instructions before using.
2.To protect against fire, electricshock and personal injury, do not immerse blender, its cord or plug,in water or other liquid.
3.Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children. Children should not use this appliance.
4.Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
5.Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
6.The use of accessory attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or personal injury.
7.Do not use outdoors.
8.Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces including the stove.
9.Keep hands and utensils out of container while blending to prevent the possibility of severe injury topersons or damage to the unit. A spatula may be used but must be used only when the unit is not running.
10.Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
11.When mixing liquids, especially hot liquids, use included beaker, tall container or make small quantities at a time to reduce spillage.
12.Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.
13.Avoid contacting moving parts.
14.Keep hands and utensils away from the chopper cutting blade while chopping food to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons or damage to the food chopper. A spatula may be used but only when the food chopper is not running.
15.Be certain food chopper cover is securely locked in place before operating appliance. Do not attempt to remove cover until blade has stopped rotating.
16.Check food chopper bowl for the presence of foreign objects before using.
17.To reduce the risk of injury, never place chopper attachment cutting blade on base without first putting bowl properly in place. Always place the motor housing on the chopper attachment after the cover is in place on the bowl. Remove the motor housing from the chopper attachment before removing the cover from the bowl.
