CARRYING HANDLE

For convenience when carrying or transporting your
miter saw from one place toanother, a carrying
handle has been provided on top of the saw arm as
shown infigure 4. To transport, turn off and unplug
your saw, then lower the saw arm and lock itin the
down position. Lock saw arm by depressing the lock
pin.

A spindle lockbutton has been provided for locking
the spindle which keeps the blade in your sawfrom
rotating. Depress and hold the lockbutton while
installing, changing, or removing blade only.

The miter lock handle securely locks your saw at
desired miter angles.
PALM PAD (Lock-Off)
See Figure 5.
The switch trigger isequipped with a lock-off feature
to reduce the possibility of accidental starting. The
palm pad must be depressed with the palm of your
hand to release the lock-off and allow switch trigger to
turn saw on. The spring loaded palm pad will spring
back into the lock-off position when the switch trigger
is released andyou remove your handfrom the palm
pad.

To prevent unauthorized use of your compound miter
saw, we suggest that youdisconnect it from the power
supply and lock the switch in the offposition. To lock
the switch, install apadlock through the hole in the
switch trigger. A lockwith a long shackle upto 13/64
in. diameter may be used. When the lock is installed
and locked, the switch is inoperable. Store the pad-
lock key in another location.
