3.1.1 Tilt Angle for Advanced Code Reconstruction The most important parameter in Advanced Code Reconstruction is the value of the
maximum tilt angle (α maximum) under which the code reconstruction process is still
possible.
We define the Tilt angle as the angle (α) between the laser beam and a line parallel
to the barcode label, as shown in Figure 29.

The formulas to calculate α maximum depend on various parameters such as: label
height, number of scans per second, code motion speed, etc. To obtain α maximum
for your application, please contact your Datalogic representative.
You must remember that the decoder will be able to read the label with a tilt angle
between + α max and - α max as shown in Figure 30 (the shaded zones are the NO
READ zones).
