the center of the Mythos Six speaker terminals will be 31/4 inches (82 mm) below the bottom edge of the bracket.

To install the Mythos Six on its bracket, securely fasten the two mount- ing screws supplied into the two threaded holes on the rear of the speaker, screwing them in as far as they will go. The speaker will then hang in the two “keyholes” on the bracket. After placing the screws in these open- ings, pressing down firmly on the top of the speaker will seat the speaker properly and avoid any rattles during use.

Using Your Mythos Six on a Shelf or Furniture

Your Mythos Six comes with an optional tempered glass base for standing the speaker on a horizontal shelf or on furniture. (For horizontal installations, the Mythos Seven speaker should be used instead.) For safety, please make sure the location where you place the speaker is flat and level. The base must be installed with the included plastic spacer’s smooth silver side against the glass on the surface opposite the feet. Please make sure that the plastic washers are used with the four supplied mounting screws. Do not over-tighten the mounting screws.

Mounting Your Mythos Seven with the Supplied Wall-Mount Bracket

Your Mythos Seven comes with an optional wall-bracket designed to securely mount your speaker flush to your wall. The bracket can ONLY be used with a horizontal installation. (For vertical installations, the Mythos Six speaker should be used instead.) For safety, it is extremely important that this bracket be installed with molly-bolts or similarly effective fasteners appropriate for the construction of your wall. Be sure to use all six of the mounting holes when fastening the bracket to the wall. Never use unanchored or improperly anchored screws in your wall. Professional installation is strongly recommended. Your dealer can either arrange this for you, or refer you to a qualified installer.

To determine the bracket’s position on the wall, the following measure- ments will be helpful. When the Mythos Seven is installed on the bracket, the top edge of the speaker is 1 inch (25 mm) from the top edge of the bracket, the bottom edge of the speaker is 11/4 inches (32 mm) from the bottom of the bracket. The right outer edge of the speaker is 31/2 inches (89 mm) from the sides of the bracket. The left outer edge of the speaker is 5 inches (129 mm) from the sides of the bracket. The center of the Mythos 7 speaker terminals will be 11/2 inch (37 mm) from the sides of the bracket. If you are mounting your Mythos Seven below your display

Six, Seven specifications

Definitive Technology is renowned for producing high-quality audio equipment that blends innovative technology with exceptional sound performance. Among their notable offerings are the Definitive Technology Seven and Six speakers, which stand out due to their remarkable features and advanced engineering.

The Definitive Technology Seven, recognized for its impressive soundstage and deep bass response, is designed to cater to audiophiles and casual listeners alike. One of the key features of the Seven is its use of the Balanced Double Surround System (BDSS) technology. This technology enables the speaker to deliver a more expansive sound field, ensuring that music and sound effects are heard uniformly throughout the room.

Equipped with a 1-inch aluminum tweeter and a 6.5-inch mid/bass driver, the Seven provides clarity and precision in high-frequency sounds while maintaining rich and full-bodied midrange and bass. The speaker’s advanced frequency response allows for smooth transitions across the audio spectrum, enhancing the listening experience, whether it be for music, movies, or gaming.

On the other hand, the Definitive Technology Six offers a slightly more compact design while retaining much of the high-fidelity performance that the brand is known for. The Six features a similar BDSS technology and includes a 1-inch aluminum tweeter paired with a 5.25-inch midrange driver. This combination allows the Six to deliver crystal-clear highs and responsive bass, making it a perfect choice for smaller spaces or as part of a surround sound system.

Both models are designed with aesthetics in mind, featuring sleek, modern lines that easily blend with any décor while their sturdy enclosure minimizes vibrations, thereby enhancing sound quality. Additionally, the speakers come equipped with a front-firing bass port, which allows for greater flexibility in placement, reducing the need for significant distance from walls or corners.

Further elevating their appeal, the Seven and Six are designed with versatility in mind. They can function as standalone speakers or as part of a larger home theater setup, making them a popular choice for those seeking to build an immersive audio experience.

In summary, the Definitive Technology Seven and Six speakers combine advanced technologies with outstanding audio performance, making them excellent choices for all audio enthusiasts looking for reliable and exceptional sound systems. Whether it's the spacious soundstage of the Seven or the compact yet powerful design of the Six, these speakers provide a remarkable listening experience that caters to a wide range of user needs.
