I/O Modules—Pass-Through

Dell 4 Gbps Fibre Channel Pass-Through Module

The 4 Gbps fibre channel pass-through module provides a bypass connection between a fibre channel mezzanine card in the blade and optical transceivers for direct connection into a fibre channel switch or a storage array. The 16 pass- through ports on this module can negotiate speeds of 1 Gbps, 2 Gbps, or 4 Gbps. The 4 Gbps fibre channel pass-through module is hot-swappable, and may be installed in Fabric B or Fabric C.

NOTE: To ensure proper functionality, use only the Short Wave SFP transceivers provided with this module.
