Preparing the coffee
1.Fill the mug with cold water from the tap.
2.Lift the water reservoir lid and pour the water into the reser- voir.
3.Place the permanent filter into the filter holder and place ground coffee into the filter (approx 7grms). Close the lid.
4.Place the mug underneath the filter holder and plug in the appli- ance.
5.Press the on button, the indicator light will come on.
6.The coffee will start to filter through.
7.When there is no more water left in the reservoir, the coffee maker will switch off automatically.
8.Wait about three minutes before removing the mug to allow the coffee to finish filtering.
Cleaning and maintenance
•Before cleaning or maintenance always turn the appliance off, unplug from the mains socket and leave to cool
•When cleaning the appliance and tray use a soft, damp cloth; do not use solvents or abrasive detergents
•The mug and filter holder can be washed in the dishwasher
•Never emerge the appliance in water
Descaling
Over time, calcium in the water may build up and cause blockages reducing the efficiency of the coffee machine and increasing the time required to make coffee. To obtain optimum performance, the appliance should be descaled regularly.
•Using equal parts of water and vinegar pour the solution into the water reservoir and switch on the appliance.
•When the solution has flowed through, repeat again twice more using water only to rinse the appliance thoroughly.
