If you are using the hand blender in a sauce pan, be sure to remove the sauce pan from the stove or other heat source before applying the blender to the food to be mixed. This appliance is not to be used over a stove or any other heat source.

If you are pureeing food, slowly add liquid, a little at a time, until desired consistency is reached.

Do not use this appliance to chop ice, as it can damage the blades. Add any ice to the mixture after the blending process is completed.

Do not use this unit to beat egg whites.

HOW TO CLEAN

Unplug the hand blender from the outlet.

Rinse the blade under warm running water by holding the unit by the motor section. DO NOT TOUCH THE BLADE. DO NOT IMMERSE THE MOTOR SECTION IN THE RUNNING WATER.

Motor section may be wiped clean with a damp cloth.

If food particles are not rinsed off under the running water, place a drop of dish detergent in the measuring jug and fill half way with water. Plug cord back into outlet. Immerse the hand blender in the water and operate the unit for about 10 seconds. Unplug, and rinse again under running water to remove excess detergent.
