12LISTENING TO THE RADIO

Auto tuning

1	Set the input function to “TUNER”.

		the desired band (AM or

3	MODE	Press the MODE button to
		set the auto tuning mode.
		“Auto” appears on the

		DOWN button.

		then stops when a station is
		tuned in.

If tuning does not stop at the desired station, use to the “Manual tuning” operation.

Preset memory

1	Use the “Auto tuning” or “Manual tuning”
	operation to tune in the station to be preset in
2	the memory.
	MEMORY	Press the MEMORY button.

3	SHIFT	Press the SHIFT button and
		select the desired memory
		block (A to E).

4		Press the CHANNEL + (UP)
		or – (DOWN) button to select
	CHANNEL	the desired preset channel (1

		again to store the station in

the preset memory.

To preset other channels, repeat steps 2 to 5. A total of 40 broadcast stations can be preset

—8 stations (channels 1 to 8) in each of blocks A to E.

Manual tuning

1	Set the input function to “TUNER”.

		Check	that	the	display’s

4	TUNING	Press	the TUNING UP			or
		DOWN button to tune in the
		desired station.
		The	frequency		changes

		button is held in.

Checking the preset stations

•The preset broadcast stations can be checked on the on screen display.

1	Press the ON SCREEN button repeatedly until the “Tuner Preset Stations”
	screen appears on the on screen display.

NOTES:

•When in the auto tuning mode on the FM band, the “STEREO” indicator lights on the display when a stereo broadcast is tuned in. At open frequencies, the noise is muted and the “TUNED” and “STEREO” indicators turn off.

•When the manual tuning mode is set, FM stereo broadcasts are received in monaural and the “STEREO” indicator turns off.
