3-5. TV Connection - HD Monitor with HDCP (DVI-HDTV type)TV Viewing
1.
Connect the “OUT TO TV” jack on the DIRECTV
®
HD Receiver to the “ANT IN”jack on your TV using a coaxial
RF cable.
2.
Connect the “DVI-HDTV OUT” jack on the DIRECTV HD Receiver to the “DVI-HDTV IN” jack of your TV using
DVI-HDTV type connector. (The “TYPE” switch must be set toward the “RGB/DVI-HDTV” jacks.)
3.
Connect the L/R “AUDIO OUT” jacks on the DIRECTV HD Receiver to the L/R “AUDIO IN” jacks on your TV using
RCA-type cables.
Note : For the best access to high-definition programming at the highest available resolution broadcast
by DIRECTV, connect the DVI-HDTV output to the corresponding DVI-HDTV input that supports high-band-
width Digital Content Protection (HDCP) technology on a High-Definition Television (HDTV) or HDTV moni-
tor. Please check your HDTV or HDTV Monitor user manual or contact the television manufacturer to find
out if your HDTV or HDTV Monitor supports HDCP.
4.
Select Antenna In or DVI-HDTV In, source on your TV. (Refer to TV user's manual.)
